All work and no play. . . .

Introducing the newest member to the Digital Muse team.

The new father and son duo work very well together. He is learning the ropes.

Dad keeps him very busy.

Sometimes he is even on call when he goes out to play. He has been practicing and has become very adept at "blackberrying".

6 Month Checkup

Oskar is six months old!!!! We can't believe he is 6 months already, yet it feels like he has always been a part of our life.
The doctor said he looks great. He is 19 lbs 2 oz - BIG BOY- that's our little chunker and 26.5 inches long. He has started eating rice cereal twice a day. Of course more ends up all over the place than in his mouth, but he'll get there. Tomorrow he will get to try sweet potatoes for the first time - that should make a nice smear!

Post Holiday Update

Wow, the holiday's hit and I feel like I fell off the face of the earth. It's taken until today to get back to some semblance of normal life.

During this time we have gone through a number of milestones with Oskar. He is lifting his head during tummy time and almost pushing up when he can get his hands in front of him. He also loves being vertical, although his vibro-lounger is still a big hit for playtime. The two biggest changes have been that he is REALLY interacting with his peeps and toys.

Faces are the most fun to play with. I could spend hours nose to nose with him muggy for reactions. He gets the biggest smile during "tongue time" and is starting to laugh out loud

We are having lots of music time every day including all the classics (Eensy Weensy Spider, Bingo, Old Macdonald, etc) as well as some classic rock, oldies, and motown. Oz loves to be serenaded by dad and his acoustic guitar.

Oskar got so many new things for Christmas/Hannukah that he will be wearing new outfits well into the new year and playing with a new toy each day for a long time.

One of the neatest things that we learned over the holidays is that Oz is a good traveler. He did perfectly on both of his flights, the train rides in Hartsfield-Jackson, the bus ride to and from the parking lot, and the hours spent in the car during our tour of the northeast. What a trooper.

I hope to be making more entries again now that we're back, but time seems to be very limited right now so if you keep checking back daily (Mandy VonSee) but are consistently disappointed when there is nothing new, sign up for notifications on the right side of the BabyForce blog and you can receive email notifications when I make new entries.

Happy New Year!
